Among the soft waves of Imari Bay are many islands of various sizes. From the wheelchair accessible observation tower, visitors can see an uninterrupted view of the bay and the little fishing towns that dot the coastline. On sunny days, you may even be able to see the terraced rice fields from far away. The view is so spectacular, that famed poet and Buddhist monk Kobo Daishi is said to have written about it.
