Karatsu Castle Maizuru Park TEL 0955-72-5697 Terasawa Shimanokami Hirotaka,the first lord of the Tsu Clan constructed Karatsu Castle in 1608. The present Castle was restored in 1966. The beautiful donjon in the 5th floor 5 layers, at the 1st floor underground is called " Maizuru Castle", too, and also there are the flavored tea-ceremony rooms. The Castle is got close to a citizen and a tourist, and each floor exhibits the precious documents, the old Karatsu and the arms of the feudal clan system times.
